Perfect

Some days are just too perfect, aren't they? Heartachingly so.

A came over 15 minutes late, (30 minutes of torture, I was a wreck), and we had lunch at one of my favourite local cafes, then took off to our favourite local park, perhaps a 20 minute drive away. Wooded hillside, down to an amazing beach. We took a slow walk down through the trees to the water, and spent the entire afternoon on the beach, on a blanket in the sun.

We talked about a lot of things, I told him perhaps too much of what I was going through with husband, though I didn't directly say that he had sparked all this off. I'm not sure it needed to be said, in a way. I let him read between a few lines here and there. And at the end of that conversation, he said something so sweet. "You know, I'm always here for you. I think it's my role to be a rock for you and Sister at the moment." And the thing is, he said it with such genuine tenderness and sincerity. Those gorgeous blue eyes full of feeling.

A huge heron came and parked up in front of us on the beach for a while. A sent me this note about it yesterday.

About 5, a little sunburned, we headed back home, and had arranged to go to the concert, and pick husband up on the way. That was really bizarre, but also very sweet. They really like each other, and I have no idea what either of them made of the whole scene, but I was torn down the middle. I went to the bathroom at the break, and just sat there for a while at the back of the room when I came back, just watching them talking, feeling my heart break.

I sent A an email, and said in that that I want him to be a part of my life. His reply, 'We already very much are." Yes.


Today, we're going sailing, me, A, Sister, Sister's husband, and husband, the 5 of us. Interesting times. Sister has a sailboat, and A persuaded her to get it on the water today.

I thnk I am coming to the conclusions I need to about all this. I only hope that it's the best for everybody. A wise man once said "Do What Thou Will shall be the whole of the Law." Love is the Law.
