Men In Uniform

God DAMMIT!!! I missed Public Image Ltd. They played within reasonable distance of me this week, and I fucking MISSED them!! Been into PIL since I was 14, too. I remember sending a bunch of floppy-haired Duran Duran fans screaming from a party when I played what was then 'Cassette'. I've since come to appreciate Duran Duran a bit more than I did when I was 14. I was all Dead Kennedys, PIL, The Dammed and Butthole Surfers back then. I still am.

I was looking forward to an evening out with a thousand sweaty punks. Could have been a lot of fun.

I would have to have gone alone, as I don't have a single friend here to go out with, who shares my love of punk, or metal, industrial or goth, come to that.
Time I made some new friends here... All my friends are much older, (not that that is a prerequisite for musical taste!) and not into the same things as me. I used to drag a reluctant Husband along to things like that in the past.
He's into things like Bob Seger, and the Alman Brothers, Yes, and I'm into Manson, PIL, Rob Zombie, Rammstein, White Stripes, Not a good mix. ;-)

Come to think of it, I think the only musical things we ever have had in common are The Beatles, Stones, The Who and Santana. He doesn't even like Zeppelin all that much!! Heresy.
We have been to see the Stones, Santana and the Who together, which was a lot of fun.
I dragged him along to a Stooges gig once a few years ago, and he dealt with that ok, and came out of it with a reasonable appreciation for Iggy. But I had a blast, LOVED it..

I was thinking about what to write this morning, and I thought about uniforms. I have to confess, I love a man in a nice smart uniform. Some uniforms more than others, though as I have mentioned before, our hot UPS guy manages to make even that uniform look sexy! Speaking of which, I was lying awake at 4.30 this morning, and my mind was turning over and over and over, so I sent him some Reiki. I notice weird things happen when I send people Reiki, so I thought 'why the fuck not'? Well, he didn't drag me into the elevator this morning and pin me against the wall, but it was worth a try... ;-)
Is that considered 'black magic'? I don't think so. I think Reiki is at least something that you can't misuse, even when your ego gets in the way. Thankfully. Otherwise I'd be in real trouble. I always get so complicated when it comes to ethics. I have a conscience the size of King Kong which has never really done me any good. Fuck ethics. Although, the times when I have used my magickal skills for things like that, the results have always been the difficult lessons, the relationships that really screwed me up, etc... So, I don't know.
But I also know that 'good girl' thing has also caused massive problems too. Or at least, done me no real favours.

I have a thing for Nazi uniforms. Don't ask why, but they're hot. They're the ultimate bad-guy 'authority' image, aren't they? Makes a sometimes-sub like me go weak at the knees. Though, some Nazis dressed better than others. Nice lederhosen Adolf!
















OK, so that's Fiennes in Schindler's List, not a real Nazi, but you get the picture... Tim Burton, you need to get Johnny Depp to dress up as a Nazi. ;-) Now THAT would be HOT.
