.....2 Taboo.........Dear Nigga / Nigger / Niggah.....

........ please go away............ please.............

.......I implore ALL cultural backgrounds to refuse the positive use of this word.....

....Recently I posted the clip of the amazingly talented Actress CCH Pounder in a scene with a black kid who murdered a white man. He frequently uses the words and at one point says "You wanna those black bitches who uses the 'N' word aint ya".........

..........I use "The N Word"........... because it is a profanity.........an insult...... an abhorrence that was used to demonise and subjugate an entire race - indeed - entire generations of a race......

.....I do not believe this is a word that should be reclaimed.. I place it in the same box as the word "Queer" - as defined in the dictionary below...........

queer

adjective, -er, -est, verb, noun
adjective
1.
strange or odd from a conventional viewpoint; unusually different; singular: a queer notion of justice.
2.
of a questionable nature or character; suspicious; shady: Something queer about the language of the prospectus kept investors away.
3.
not feeling physically right or well; giddy, faint, or qualmish: to feel queer.
4.
mentally unbalanced or deranged.
5.
Slang: Disparaging and Offensive .
b.
effeminate; unmanly.

...I hate the Q word - it was used initially as a high insult to homosexual men and women.. It should have remained a bad word..... I am more comfortable with referring to myself as a Fag rather than Queer...

.......I am not bizarre or unusual...... Nor am I of a questionable nature....... I am simply homosexual...

...... I hate the modern "positive" use of Nigga/er/ah in the same vein....... but for one very different reason - it ignores by the nature of its' very use the ENTIRE HISTORY of slavery and the denigration of African Slaves and later - during the years of Segregation - those brave men and women who challenged the separation of white and black....

... Many people shrug and say "Well the rappers love it and I hear that nice young black man next door using it all the time and he isn't even in a gang"........ I don't care...... YOU SHOULD CARE THAT A NICE YOUNG MAN IS USING IT!!!
  • Does the nice young man know where it comes from?
  • Does he know how many people died because Niggers were considered less than human?
  • Does the nice young man know that his own Constitution refers to him as "3 fifths of a man"? (I may not have that word perfect - but it's basically correct)
  • Does the nice young man know that EVEN NOW black women are raped by white supremacists whilst being called by that "N Word"?
  • As his rapper idols splatter their lyrics with the N Word, does the nice young man understand that even THEY use it as a derogatory label for other black men they don't like?
  • Why is he not concerned that it seems WHITE PEOPLE don't like the modern use of the word and BLACK PEOPLE seem to be silent of it. PS We don't like it because of shame - but because - like the holocaust - it is supposed to remind us of a history that should NEVER Be allowed to happen again.....
Wikipedia has this to say......

Nigga

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Use in language

In practice, its use and meaning are heavily dependent on context.[5] Presently, the word nigga is used more liberally among younger members[6] of all races and ethnicities in the United States, although its use by persons not of African descent is still widely viewed as unacceptable and hostile, even when used without intentional prejudice. In addition to African Americans, other ethnic groups[7][8] have adopted the term as part of their vernacular.

There is conflicting popular opinion on whether there is any meaningful difference between nigga and nigger as a spoken term.[9] Many people consider the terms to be equally pejorative, and the use of nigga both in and outside African American communities remains controversial.[10] H. Lewis Smith, author of Bury that Sucka: A Scandalous Affair with the N-word, believes that "replacing the 'er' with an 'a' changes nothing other than the pronunciation"[11] and the African American Registry notes, "Brother (Brotha) and Sister (Sistah or Sista) are terms of endearment. Nigger was and still is a word of disrespect."[12] The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, a civil rights group, condemns use of both nigga and nigger.[9]

Some African-Americans express considerable offense when referred to as a nigga by Caucasian people, but not if they are called the same by other African-Americans, or by some other minority, as a term of endearment.[9] In this case, the term may be seen either as a symbol of brotherhood,[13] similar to the usage of the words dude and bro, and its use outside a defined social group an unwelcome cultural appropriation. Critics have derided this as a double standard.[7]

Non-rhotic English-speakers, such as speakers of many British dialects and African American Vernacular English, pronounce "nigger" and "nigga" identically, as their accents do not distinguish between these two words.

Cultural influence

The term "nigga, please", first used in the 1970s by comics such as Paul Mooney as "a funny punctuation in jokes about Blacks,"[14] is now heard routinely in comedy routines by African Americans. The growing use of the term is often attributed to its ubiquity in modern American hip hop music.[15][16] Examples include: hip-hop group Niggaz Wit' Attitude (N.W.A.), A Tribe Called Quest's "Sucka Nigga", Notorious B.I.G.'s song, "The Realest Niggaz", Jay-Z's "Jigga That Nigga" and Snoop Dogg's "For All My Niggaz and Bitches". Ol' Dirty Bastard uses the term 76 times in his Nigga Please album (not including repetitions in choruses).[16] This is reflected in the term's wide use in modern American gang culture. According to a Texas Monthly article about Houston gangs, many Hispanic street gang members call each other niggah.[17]

However, its use has spread beyond North America. The Portuguese comedy group, Gato Fedorento, uses the word nigga in an audio sketch, where the four individuals (all Caucasian) say they are niggas ("I'm nigga, nigga; are you nigga, nigga?"), and end up admitting that they do not know what nigga means, although "people say it's amazing" (since the word isn't familiar for most Portuguese people, and is seen in the sketch simply as a strange-sounding word). Da Weasel later sang a song named "Nigga" in Gato Fedorento's last episode of season 5.[citation needed]

Comedian Chris Rock's routine "Niggas vs. Black People" distinguishes a nigga, which he defined as a "low-expectation-having motherfucker", from a "black person". In contrast, Tupac Shakur distinguished between nigger and nigga: "Niggers was the ones on the rope, hanging off the thing; niggas is the ones with gold ropes, hanging out at clubs."[18] Tupac, who has been credited with legitimizing the term, said his song N.I.G.G.A. stood for "Never Ignorant Getting Goals Accomplished."[19]

Use in trademarks or brand names

The Lanham Act does not permit registration of trademarks containing terms that may disparage persons or bring them into disrepute.[20] Registration by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (PTO) of terms that are historically considered disparaging to groups of people has been allowed in some circumstances. Self-disparaging trademarks have been allowed in some cases where the applicant has shown that the mark as-used is not considered by the relevant group to be disparaging.[21]

In 1995, two Houston, Texas men filed a trademark application with the PTO for the words "Naturally Intelligent God Gifted Africans," and its acronym. The application was rejected, as were numerous subsequent applications for variations of the word nigga. Most recently, comedian Damon Wayans twice attempted to trademark a brand name called Nigga, "featuring clothing, books, music and general merchandise."[15] The PTO refused the application, stating "the very fact that debate is ongoing regarding in-[ethnic]-group usage, shows that a substantial composite of African Americans find the term 'nigga' to be offensive."[16]

.......Personally - I'm with the NAACP on this one....... it's a word that should be slapped out of peoples mouths - who should then be dragged into a history class and shown WHY this is a bad word that should only EVER be referred to as "The N Word".....

.......I know I'm going to get hate mail for this - but you know what, I think that there are some things that should just simply be right or wrong.....

...."Nigga" is wrong....... history is right......

Shalom and blessings...

...2 Stoopid...The Ukraine Wants To Open A Hitler Museum.....

...............Are they kidding the world with this ?!?!?!?!?!!? What brain injured, developmentally challenged individual thought THIS below would be a good idea???...............

A MUSEUM featuring Hitler that allows visitors to dress up in Nazi uniforms and pose with swastika flags could open in Ukraine.

The city of Vinnitsa is hoping to turn the Wehrwolf bunker - where Hitler stayed during WWII - into a tourist attraction, the BBC reports.

The museum had been due to open in May to coincide with the commemoration of victory over the Nazis.

Kateryna Vysotska, who works at the Vinnitsa Museum, said the bunker would also serve as a memorial for victims.

However, communist and socialist party activists fear it could become a magnet for neo-Nazis.
............ya think ???..............

Lydia Zakusylova, who chairs the regional Communist Party, told the BBC a road sign pointing to the location of the Wehrwolf already has neo-Nazis flocking to the site.

Ms Zakusylova said initially there were suggestions to restore wartime dug-outs for PoWs, but then she was told about plans to exhibit uniforms and flags of the officers and men of the Reich.

"They wanted to offer tourists the chance to try on uniforms, hang sub machine-guns around their necks and pose for pictures with Nazi flags in the background. This is blatant Nazi propaganda," she told the BBC.

The 10,000 PoWs and local civilians who are believed to have built the bunker were allegedly shot by the Nazis and buried there.

Local villagers, including children, were enlisted to dig trenches and clear out the woods.

Ms Vysotska said she met with veterans and told them that the bunker has become a tourist attraction irrespective of their wishes.

"Visitors will keep coming and it would be better if our museum staff conduct proper guided tours," she said.

In April, 2010, a museum celebrating Nazi Germany's SS opened at its former leader's headquarters in Wewelsburg Castle in Paderborn, Germany.

The $10.7 million tourist attraction also sparked fears it will lead to far right neo-fascist pilgrimages.

.........I am so disgusted by this I do not know where to begin......... Is history not even THOUGHT of these days???? - and in the Ukraine of ALL places.....

.....2 Remember ..... Our Last WW1 Veteran Passes.....

History's last living link with the battlefields of World War I has been broken with the death of 110-year-old digger Claude Choules.

Mr Choules, who celebrated his 110th birthday in March, was believed to be the world's last surviving WWI combat veteran.

His daughter Daphne Edinger confirmed Mr Choules - nicknamed ''Chuckles'' by comrades - died in his Perth nursing home last night.

Joined up ... the young Claude Choules all those years ago.

Mr Choules was declared the last known male survivor of more than 70 million military personnel during WWI, after American veteran Frank Buckles passed away earlier this year, also aged 110.

The only other surviving WWI veteran is believed to be Britain's Florence Green, who served with the Royal Air Force in a non-combat role and is now aged 110.

Son Adrian Choules said this morning that he had been overwhelmed with phone calls offering condolences. But he said it was not a time to mourn but to celebrate his father's life and the memories of the good times they shared.

Decorated soldier ... Claude Choules never sought the spotlight.

With three children, 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren, Mr Choules has left behind a dedicated family, full of rich and loving memories.

"He treated his family very, very well, and so they all responded by looking after him very well," Adrian said.

"He knew you only get out what you put in, and he was a fine example of that. He was a good family man.

"He's certainly going to leave a gap in our family; his grandchildren, and great-grandchildren will all remember him very fondly."

Adrian Choules said his father did not speak highly of war, and he was renowned for flouting Anzac Day parades. As the years passed, Mr Choules refused to be interviewed, and shunned the very thing that made him who he was – the great wars.

"He always said that the old men make the decisions that send the young men into war," Adrian said.

"He used to say, if it was the other way around, and the old pollies were off fighting, then there would never be any wars."

Decorated service career

Born in England in 1901, Mr Choules served with Britain's Royal Navy onboard the HMS Impregnable in 1916 at the age of 15.

He joined the battleship HMS Revenge in 1917 and witnessed the surrender of the German Fleet near Firth of Forth in Scotland in 1918.

Mr Choules moved to Fremantle where he was seconded to the Royal Australian Navy in 1926.

He was a commissioning crew member of the HMAS Canberra and served with the vessel until 1931 when he discharged from the RAN before rejoining as a torpedo and anti-submarine instructor in 1932.

As the acting torpedo officer at Fremantle in WWII, Mr Choules disposed of the first German mine to wash up on Australian soil during WWII, near Esperance on WA's south coast.

He was also tasked with destroying harbour and oil storage tanks at the Fremantle port in case of a Japanese invasion.

Mr Choules remained in the RAN after WWII, spending his final working years at the Naval Dockyard Police and joining the crayfishing industry at Safety Bay, south of Perth.

Australia's oldest man

At 107, he was told by his doctors that he wouldn't see out his next birthday. He defied those odds when he became a super-centenarian, and Australia's oldest man, in March this year.

"He stretches back into Australian history; the past 110 years are probably the most significant for the history of the country, and he was here for all of that," Adrian Choules said.

"Through his service, he developed the two important parts of his personality there, his loyalty and his conscientiousness.

"His loyalty to the people that were employing him, the British Government and then the Royal Australian Navy, and he was very loyal to his family as well.

"There was only was way to survive all that he did, and that was to be conscientious and very careful, and by not taking any risks."

Commemorating his life

On behalf of the Royal Australian Navy, Vice Admiral Russ Crane, Chief of Navy expressed his condolences to the Choules family at the passing of Claude Choules.

Captain Brett Wolski, Commanding Officer HMAS Stirling, said that the loss of Claude Choules to the wider Navy family was considerable.

"Our thoughts are with Claude's family at this sad time," he said.

"Claude served in the Royal Navy during WWI and then with the Royal Australian Navy in WWII. His career has spanned some of the most significant events in maritime history this century."

Adrian Choules said the family was overwhelmed with the tributes flowing in for his father, and said he had been reflecting on some of their good times with his family.

"He was a keen crayfisherman; my kids have wonderful memories of playing around in little boats with him down near Safety Bay," he said.

"That was a great part of their growing up.

"He always valued education; my two sisters both went to university at a time when there were plenty of parents who said, 'Why bother educating women when they're only going to be someone's wife'.

"These sorts of values will be remembered. The things that he did for his family, he put them first.

"Yesterday he was a celebrity, he was the oldest man in Australia. Today, someone else is that man."

Dennis Connelly, editor of The Listening Post, the official journal of the Returned Services League of Australia said it is a sad day for the country.

"He did lead a very full life," Mr Connelly said.

"He has had quite a life; it is quite the story to tell, and somebody should be telling that story.

"I remember I tried to interview him once, and his daughter actually told me that there was already enough information out there, there was nothing to add to it.

"He was a recluse in the later years of his life."

Mr Connelly said he expected crowds in the hundreds to turn out to pay their respects to Mr Choules on what will be "a very big occasion for the last World War I vet".

Mr Choules released his autobiography in 2009 titled The Last of the Last, depicting his childhood and move to Australia, as well as his times at war.

Mr Choules, who was blind and almost completely deaf, hated war and only marched in Anzac Day parades when he was ordered to, his son said.

He and his wife, who passed away at the age of 98, had two daughters and a son. Mr Choules also had 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral and service for Mr Choules would be arranged by the Royal Australian Navy which has volunteered host the event. It will be held at St John's Church in Fremantle, but a date has not yet been set.

............Personally I hope that we NEVER forget the service of this brave man, and the thousands like him who have served the cause of freedom and peace on our behalf....

.......May HaShem Bless and Keep Them and Their Families...........

Shalom
