Syria..... What The Fuck...??

Syria's top diplomats here in Oz have been expelled with only base, operational staff allowed to stay to handle consular matters i.e. Visa's, Passports etc.

I am stunned that this back-ass country-fuck of a nation is allowed to continue doing what it is doing whilst the world looks on??

Actually - why do we allow both Syria and Iran to continue as they have? The Terrible Twins need to be taken out..... gimme a couple of ICBM's, a compass, coordinates for the government buildings and "madrasses" (c'mon ........ terrorist training camps) and I'll take out the fuckers myself.

In these two countries the following occurs...and these aren't the WORST examples.

• Women who are raped are either stoned / beaten / or, killed because clearly "they were asking for it".
• Those who doubt the literal truth of Islam are imprisoned.
• Homosexuals as young as 14 are publicly killed - usually beheading or hanging..... though several has been shot..... one poor young man in Iran was heard to be screaming "Mummy!! Mummy!!" before they pulled the lever on the gallows.

Syria has just massacred 108 innocent civilians.  Why are the planes still on the ground?  Why hasn't something exploded?  Why aren't we - the apparently CIVILISED western world - getting involved?  How is this different from Iraq?  Or Germany in WW2?

How the hell can we call ourselves civilised when we allow such atrocities to occur?

And for you bleeding heart humanists, please do NOT bring out the whole "How can you call yourself civilised when you're calling for Military Action?"......... It's really simple.  The powers-that-be in these two nations are evil and not only have they killed citizens of OUR nations, but they are killing their OWN citizens.  And we have given them so many opportunities to fix things it's now simply ludicrous.  It is a joke of the most macabre and malicious sort.

And don't drag out that "sovereignty of a nation" - "we can't be seen to be engaging in a war on Islam" bullshit - this isn't ANY of those things.  It's about basic humanity.  The right to live your life without fearing daily for your safety or for your freedom to think what you want and say what you want.

CNN reports that Kofi Annan has been "reasurred by the Syrian governments desire to launch it's own investigation".  Is he kidding??  Does he truly believe the Syrian Government who organised the massacre is going to "investigate it thoroughly"??

For the Western World to nod and tutt-tutt as an evil dictator (exactly like Hussein) attempts to placate other nations whilst visiting the most abhorrent violence on it's citizens is stomach churning.

The Western World has failed spectacularly on so many levels.

As a Westerner - I am ashamed.

NEW migrants should get taxpayer subsidies to visit overseas relatives, an Islamic group has told the Federal Government.

The Islamic Women's Welfare Association also says Muslims prefer to live close to their own people and Australia should consider how to "facilitate the purchase of homes for new migrants".

In a submission to a federal multicultural inquiry, the association has urged the Government to give tax deductions to newly arrived migrants so they can visit relatives in their homelands.

"Migrants face a lot of sacrifices such as having to travel long distances to visit relatives, spending on communication costs, missing out on some events occurring in native countries etc," the submission said.

"This loss should be compensated by the Government in one way or the other to retain migrants in their country of adoption."

Victorian Muslim and president of the Australian Council of Bosnian Organisations Senada Softic-Telalovic said while some help might be justified for needy refugees who had to go overseas to settle their affairs, she didn't support travel compensation for all newcomers.

"That type of argument will bring out further outrage from those who are so anti-migrant and so anti-multiculturalism," she said. Ms Softic-Telalovic said that Australia was seen as an ideal migration destination and new arrivals shouldn't take the country for granted.

"Migrants and refugees who come out now are in a significantly better position and you could say a more privileged position than those who came out in the 1970s," she said.

Victorian Multicultural and Citizenship Minister Nick Kotsiras said tax breaks for migrant trips abroad was a ridiculous idea.

"We are all equal and no one should get special privileges," he said.

The Islamic welfare association is based in Lakemba, Sydney, which has one of the highest Muslim populations in Australia.

Its submission also said that migrants should be free to build their own places of worship "without prejudice or discrimination from the communities they live (in)".

AUSTRALIA has long been a nation of immigrants - arriving to an attractive global image of sun, surf, bikinis, beer, barbecues and above all freedom to enjoy them.

Then there’s sharia – which for most conjures up quite the other thing.

A legal report set to be published on Monday says this shadow system – which in the public eye includes niqabs, burqas, polygamy, whippings and zero tolerance for a can of VB - is running parallel to the laws the rest of us wake up to.

The research by academics Ann Black and Kerrie Sadiq says a system of "legal pluralism" abounds in modern Australia, with religious ceremonies validating multiple wives or even underage ones.

It’s the second story in as many days pointing to a sharia underground where some groups are enforcing religious laws that may break our own secular ones.

In this case two men have been charged with breaking into a Muslim convert’s house and whipping him 40 times in his bed for allegedly having a drink.

Sharia is based on Muslim teachings in the Koran but is open to interpretation by different religious leaders – an extreme form is seen enacted by the Taliban in Afghanistan.

It has potential cultural conflicts with Australian law over points including alcohol, marriage and charging of interest on loans. While there has been a push to adopt sharia here the Attorney General says existing laws win out.

ISLAMIC leaders want Muslims in Australia to get interest-free loans for religious reasons.

The nation's Islamic leaders want recognition of sharia law as it applies to banking practices, according to an exclusive Herald Sun survey of imams.

There was also a call for recognition of sharia law as it applies to family law.

The survey showed some imams are sceptical that Osama bin Laden's death will be of benefit to ordinary Muslims, and they are unhappy with the way US forces disposed of his body.

The survey has also revealed:

STRONG condemnation of MPs who criticise Muslim women for wearing the burqa/nijab.

CONCERN that ordinary Muslims are still being linked to terrorism.

DISGUST that innocent people in Muslim countries are being killed in the "war on terror".

The survey was conducted in the wake of a $55,000 Federal Government training program for imams on Australian laws and values.

They have been told to preach core Australian values such as the fair go, freedom, and responsibility.
Imam Yusuf Parker, from the Alhidayah Centre in Perth, said Australia should consider recognising sharia law as it applied to finance and family law matters.

Imam Parker said Islam forbade the charging or paying of interest "so finding interest-free loans will again help Muslims to practise their Islam better".

"Other than the two major issues mentioned, I don't see other sharia law that Muslims would seek to have legally recognised," he said.

Fellow WA imam Sheik Burhaan Mehtar said sharia law often was raised to scare non-Muslims, but a dialogue would lead to better understanding.

"Islamic banking and the non-slavery of humans is a classic example. Interest is slavery," he said.

Islamic Council of Victoria board member Nazeem Hussain said legal and tax barriers currently prevented local banks from offering Islamic finance products.

"That's a massive market ... we'd encourage the Government to seek ways to tap into that market," he said.

Imam Parker said bin Laden's demise might serve as closure for those convinced he masterminded the 9/11 attacks.

"But the reality is that the negative impact on Islam and Muslims has not changed, and it will take many decades for that to change," he said.

Sheik Burhaan Mehtar said the symbolic victory of bin Laden's death would remain hollow while people in nations such as Afghanistan suffered a "terror of death delivered from the skies" by the US and its allies.

Gold Coast imam Imraan Husain reflected a general view that bin Laden's burial at sea was a violation of Islamic funeral rites.

Victorian imam Sheik Ramy Najmeddine said Muslims felt there was an unfair link between terrorism and Islam.

"But we believe this is being broken down by the good work that members of both the Muslim and non-Muslim community are doing."

Sheik Mohamadu Saleem, a spokesman for Board of Imams Victoria, accused some MPs of trying to get political mileage out of the burqa issue. "It is mere political expediency," he said.

Victorian imam Abdinur Weli said: "If only Muslims are the people who are told what to wear, then it is discrimination."
