Points of View

I was struck by the similarity of these 3 quotes.

"No one will have any other desire in heaven than what God wills; and the desire of one will be the desire of all; and the desire of all and of each one will also be the desire of God" (St. Anselm, Opera Omnia, Letter 112).

"Do what Thou Will Shall be the Whole of the Law. Love is the Law, Love Under Will" Aliester Crowley. (Actually, this is attributed to Rabelais, before Crowley.)

"Love, and do what you will" St Augustine of Hippo.

2 Christian Saints, and a so-called Satanist. (According to the tabloid-reading masses.) Makes you think, doesn't it? It's just a point of view, who's the 'good' guy and who's the 'bad' guy. I would argue that a hedonist, creating a doctrine of a 'just war' is perhaps the act of a diabolical war-monger, and a man who says that Love shall be the Law is a Saint, but who am I to judge?

(Awesome Crowley image from here)

Hitler was a vegetarian, and loved animals. Socrates was found guilty of corrupting minors. So judge not, lest ye be judged.

Duality will always lead to lies. Equip your mind with the understanding of paradox.
