Sirius

The Dog Days begin today. July 23rd.
It's the date that Sirius became visible on the horizon again in Egypt, and it coincided with the annual flooding of the Nile valley. Sirius has been shown to be what many of the ancient sites such as the Great Pyramid, align with. Sirius is a sacred star in many ancient traditions, including the Dogon tribe in Africa, who had advanced knowledge of Sirius's double star system, that astronomers have only been able to confirm in recent years, I think since about 1960 or so. Explain that one, ye skeptics...
Sadly, now it will also be the day Amy Winehouse left us, another member of the 27 club, along with Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin, Hendrix, Cobain, etc.
