.....2 Blog........Hump Day Blog Love..........

............today.............. its Nice to see Stevie B............

Stevie shares his thoughts - his ideas - his travels - his fondness for gym shorts - and many other things on his blog.

An example is this little gem...........

BIKE Shorts

I’ve started to work out at my school’s gym on the days I have class. I find that during that time of day I’m completely alone in the gym, other than Mr. Eller.
You want them to look like this...
Mr. Eller is the head of the athletic department and connoisseur of polyester coach shorts. We met a couple of weeks past when during my orientation to the gym explained to me what dumbbells are verses free weights. I feigned interest when showing me the emergency stop on the tread mills, I then expressed shared enthusiasm for making sure every plate gets returned to the correct place. Upon showing me the locker room and showers I was surprised when he didn’t demonstrate the proper soap lathering technique.
...when they really look like this.
I have spent a lot of time since then thinking about gym coaches. No, not like you think. Okay, sort of like you think, but more about their style. I’ve been wondering about when a young man, fresh form college with a degree in physical training and education of athletics stops and says “I really need an ensemble that is comfortable, kicky, yet demands respect?” He then searches the finer magazines designed for the up and coming coach. CoachVogue and CQ (Coaches Quarterly) both point to the B I K E short. Not bike shorts or biking shorts, no. BIKE shorts. They’re comfortable, accentuate the upper thigh, and demand respect as they are cut in a maternity style under the belly. And every coach in the United States MUST wear them.

My new bud, Mr. Eller has a rainbow of colors in BIKE shorts. This has started me to think about my upper thighs. Have I denied showcasing my thighs to the world? I just might head to the sports shop and pick me up a pair. Get my polyester on.

His current post is a mix of vaccuuming, Eddie Mercury, Stevie's adorable eyes (really) and his penchant for his digits tap dancing on his keyboard (just surf over - you'll see).

Some blogs I check every couple of days - some if the title interests me - some only if they mention my name (yeah...I know) - but Stevie is a must visit every day once a day along with a handful of others.

Stevie has style - he has flair - Stevie is THERE!!! ............ oh hang on...... I'm chanelling the Nanny again..........

However - he is a one funny, smart, interesting piece of blogger-beefcake that keeps me hungry for more and coming back.

And so should you .......

"Nice to see Stevie B" - the star of this chapter of Hump Day Blog Love - and quite simply ......... a star in his own head :)

Love ya work SB :)

PS Pat the Sharpei for me

PPS Smooch the hubby for me.

.....2 Love....... Blog Love Friday........

........So I'm starting a new feature here on 2 Cents Worth....... Blog Love Fridays..........

........Every Friday I'll feature a blog that I like and/or love and why :)..........

.........Tonight........................... Tony's "West Of Mayberry"........

Tony.... aka Large Tony....... is one of those rare people who combines looks, intellect, and something that very few people have............ wisdom.

....I hope you don't mind Tony - I love this shot of you....

This man with the good looks and looky goods is one of the wisest writers I have encountered..... and here is why.........

Most bloggers - myself included - often write or blog for the attention we know it will give us. And that isn't a bad thing. Everyone likes to have people attend to their thoughts and give feedback which strokes their emotions - and their ego. Nothing wrong with that. It's honest and we all know what is going on.

What Tony does, however, is write about himself and those things / events/ people in his life whilst actually attending to YOU the reader. And this is the mark of a very clever and smart writer. There is not a hint of "look at me look at me" when he writes. It is a very honest and very close look at him and his life.

Something that I find myself genuinely touched by is the sharing of what HE is feeling as he writes and/or recalls. It goes beyond the simple "I was sad .. I was happy.. I was horny .. I was angry.. I was scared" and it enters a type of narration that inspires you to empathetically join him in what ever he is blogging about. There have been several times where Tony has had me in tears - sorrowfully and joyously - whilst he has shared a moment of his life.

I also love the "a-ha!" moments that he is currently experiencing in his relationship and, again, how honestly he tells. Here is the latest example of that...titled "Blind Man's Fluff".......

It’s funny what your hands can teach that you thought your eyes already did.

A big storm came through Friday evening.

Sudden and intense.

I didn’t even realize clouds had rolled in. It had been a really sunny day. I thought it was getting dark just because it was close to night fall.

There weren’t even warning winds that usually come with summer storms.

Just a big clap a thunder and the skies opened up with a gully-washer.

And the power went out.1

Had it not been for all the lightning, I would have grabbed the Attorney and run with him out into the rain.

After about half an hour of waiting it out in candle light, we got Granny to bed. But, the lighting was still a little crazy, so we went to watch it from one of the upstairs windows.

Eventually the rain subsided and the light show faded away, leaving us in darkness.

Pitch black darkness.

So dark that it seemed like it might have been a hair lighter outside.

Even though I have been walking through this house for more than 20 years, I still had to shuffle-stepped and feel our way to my room with The Attorney in tow, holding on to me.

It was way too dark to do anything else, so naturally we started fooling around.

It was like being at a middle-school aged party “Two Minutes In Heaven,” only we were on the bed instead of in a closet.

And for a lot more than two minutes.

And I didn’t have to try to fight my way into a bra.

Or anywhere, for that matter.

But there were probably just as many discoveries.

For example, somehow in four and a half years I never realized before how muscular The Attorney’s back is.

Or how long one of our noses really is because we touched faces sooner than expected when going in for a kiss.

We have certainly had lights-out sex before2 but there was always at least ambient light from another room or a digital clock or the moon or something.

But in the murky pitch black, your other senses ramp up into bionic level. Every sound makes you taut; every smell males tingle; every taste make you tremble, every touch takes your breath away.

While the storm outside was intense, there aren’t words for the one that happened inside.

But maybe it’s time to see about getting the breaker box relocated to bedside.

Enough said really.

Dear Tony, I love your blog and it inspires. Thank you so much for taking the time to write it and allow us the glimpses into your life that you so graciously share.

Shabbat Shalom all.

.....2 Profile..... He's A Wonder...........Wonder Man !! ...

G'day n Shalom 2 Centers!!!

Today on the blog we are profiling one of my favourite bloggers - Viktor aka Wonder Man from "Maybe It's Just Me!"

I have been reading WM's blog for a long time and am a great admirer of his. We are also kindred spirits who have a love for comics and a "healthy" obsession with all things Wonder Woman :)

So sit back - grab a cupp - and scroll through this a snapshot of this very interesting young man.

(2CW) Firstly, welcome to the blog Viktor - it is an absolute pleasure to have you here.
Glad to be here

(2CW) Now let's get straight to the important issues - WTF were they thinking with the recent Wonder Woman reboot? Was it drugs? Alien infiltration? Mind Control? Sheer stupidity? A Wonder Woman who KILLS people and wears a shitty outfit that looks like it was off the rack at Wal-Mart???
I think they wanted to try something new with Diana, but it was a bad idea. She 70 years old, she has a history and they were screwing it up. It was a good thing to cancel it.

(2CW) How long have you been a fan of WW and when did you first realise that "Tin Tit's" (as I call her) had you in her spell?
The Spin. The TV show gave us the best transformation ever. It was then, I was hooked.

(2CW) How did you get started in blogging and when did you start? Was there one particular 'A-Ha!' moment, or did the interest come from knowing other bloggers?
I thought it would be a fun thing to do. I'm a creative person, so I needed to make a outlet to use my abilities.

(2CW) What is it that you get out of blogging?
meeting new people and hearing their opinions

(2CW) One of the things that I enjoy is the window into Black Culture. Now, before I go any further let me say that I am at at NO time attempting to be offensive or ignorant, I am coming from a place of little to no knowledge about this topic and am genuinely curious. I'm a white boy aussie jew seeking revelation on a cultural group only presented to me by movies and TV.

So first question - Why is being gay such a taboo in the Black community? It seems to be even more of a no-no than in even the Jewish community.
A lot has to do with religion. Christianity has a scary hold on our community and many of them believe the Bible word for word

(2CW) When you came out to your family - how did they react and what was that process like?
Actually, mom told me over the phone. She realized that I wasn't into girls and told me to just come on out. So I did, and the rest of the family just fell in line. Since then, 3 other family members have came out.

(2CW) Not a question - just an observation - your mother seems adorable, and is extremely pretty with legs to die for :)
Thanks, she would great appreciate that

(2CW) Have you experienced racism in the gay community?
Yes, in Arizona. I was told that "colored guys were meant to serve". That was a shock to hear and a shock when he was popped in the mouth by my friend.

(2CW) Have you ever received poor treatment for dating outside your community (if you have dated outside your community)?
I have dated outside my race and I don't get any flack for it. But some guys wish I would leave my guy for them.

(2CW) From what I understand, the Blacks dislike of dating outside the community seems to be a more broader issue with both hetero and same sex couples. Why is that?
It's not all of us that feel that way. But some feels like it's a act of betrayal. It is a deep issue and sometimes multi-layered issue, so it's hard to explain with a few lines

(2CW) The Black community has been said to be carrying a chip on it's shoulder. Commentators - some Black - have often said that their needs to be a "letting go" of it in the Black community, and that there is even a strong current of reverse racism. Your thoughts?
With years of racism and social problems besetting our community, it's hard for some of us to move on. We are always reminded that we are different than most people. So it's hard to take that chip off.

(2CW) Why is the "gangsta" mentality so taken up by young black men? To me admittedly sitting here in Australia - it seems SO silly and SUCH a waste of money and time and indeed at time lives. Why is it so attractive for them to act and sound like a thug?
It's a sign of masculinity. It's a stupid sign, but many guys feel it gives them a stronger identity

(2CW) Back to comics - I see that DC is relaunching it's primary characters much like it did back with the 'Crisis On Infinite Earths' - have you seen/read the relaunched WW? How have they treated her?
I'm waiting to see more of the story, but so far, I'm not pleased.

(2CW) Now the 2 Cents Worth survey......

Fave Colour - Blue
Fave Drink - Mojito
Fave TV show - True Blood
Fave Movie - Xanadu

Fave Actor - none
Fave Way to spend a Sunday - shopping
Fave City - NYC
Fave time of year - Summer
Fave Novel - Pippi Longstocking
Fave Music - old school R&B

(2CW) Any other thoughts to share?
Where are you coming to America?
***I hope to be there in the next few months for a holiday WM :) ***

(2CW) Well Viktor - thanks so much for taking the time out to visit and the opportunity for us 2 Centers to learn more about you. Shalom !
Thank you, boo

PS When he calls me boo it gives me such a lovely feeling - but then he is such a lovely guy.

Shalom
