There has been some more playfulness via email, which is nice, because I wasn't expecting to hear much from him for the next 2 weeks. A little bit more flirtatious, even. Since the cute butt shot. :-)
I have been off work for 3 days now, which has actually been a nice chance to do some things at home, today at least. Like uploading the massive music-swap he put on a flash drive for me, which is great. Lots of electronica and ambient stuff I would never normally buy, but I'm enjoying it.
Husband is making more of a noticeable effort lately, which is nice. Perhaps having a rival, however subconsciously that is affecting him, is a good thing?
One book I'm reading at the moment which I want to share here, is Christopher Hyatt & Lon Milo DuQuette's excellent "Taboo: Sex, Religion and Magick". I am fortunate enough to call Mr DuQuette a friend in this lifetime, and his teachings have been invaluable on my path, not just sexually, but spiritually. I am a great lover of Crowley, and Lon has managed to help detangle the often too esoteric maze for me.This book is full of great ideas and explanations, weird accounts of psychic experiences, case histories, etc, even if the cover art leaves a lot to be desired. It is of course, written by a guy, with a guy's perspective, but still very helpful.
The Falcon website has this to say:
Be warned! This book contains descriptions of practices which might be considered as horrid or shocking to most in the Western world. The extensive case histories and rituals expose what is perhaps the most unspeakable (and, for its practitioners, unspoken) taboo of the Western psyche: the union of sex and religion. A must-have for those interested in Sex Magick, Chaos Magick, Thelema, and the Golden Dawn.
Back to watching the beautiful procreation happening in my sunny, flowery garden, all that pollinating going on out there, bees buzzing, flowers opening. Makes you think the Universe is one giant urge to fuck, doesn't it??
