One of the problems of being intuitive is that sometimes we can see the potential in someone so strongly that it blinds us to the choices they are making for themselves in the present, and gets in the way of us allowing them to make said choices. Believe me, I've been guilty of that and it has caused me more trouble in the past than I care to think about. Particularly when it's someone we care about. Wishing doesn't make it so.

If he has that potential (and it's still 'if') then he has to have the freedom to find it in his own time, at his own pace - even if that happens too late for you - Don't clutch at the slightest sign that it may be otherwise.
