Coworker texted me today! That's a first. With a lunch invitation. :) Which I had to decline, as Master had said last night that he was taking me to lunch today. Then he canceled, and left me with no lunch date! Ha. I had to laugh. So tomorrow I go on another 'lunch date' with Coworker. No dates, then 2, then none, then.. Like busses.
I just recently got an iPhone, and I LOVE it. I went out with my gf from the office today, we ended up down town on an errand, and it was so great to have the ap to figure out where we wanted to eat lunch. (She has been a life-saver since I hurt my leg!) What did I ever do pre-iPhone? I have no idea. Master pushed me to get one, and I'm so glad!! I was resistive for a while there, the expense, etc, but it's totally worth it, it has changed my life, and that is no exaggeration. Yes please AT&T or Apple, if you want to sponsor this post with a free month or something, that's cool! ;-) Anyway, I love it.
There's one ap in particular, ePhemeris, which lets you sit and watch the planets tick by, in real time. Fascinating. And also good for sleeplessness, I find myself getting drowsy when I watch it late at night, and that's useful. I haven't been sleeping at all well lately. Been watching Saturn slowly ease off my Pluto. Confinements. Interesting.
A few of us sat with Master last night and the energy in the room was intense. I spent the whole evening gone in bliss, like nothing I have felt before. It felt like every cell of my skin was designed just for ecstatic communion with the world. Beautiful. It lasted for a few hours perhaps.
There was a dog barking in the house next door, and that just sent me further into waves of heart-open weeping. I was reminded suddenly of the passage in Robert Graves' The White Goddess, where the Goddess is felt through signs in the world like 'the distant barking of a dog on a still summer evening'. That's not an exact quote, but close enough. You get the idea. Evocative things that are so beautiful that they stop you in your tracks, and you become aware of the Presence of the Goddess.
